Welcome to the 21 st Annual Horse Packing & Wilderness Skills Clinic. We hope you enjoy yourself, learn a few things and take home some prizes. We certainly have a variety of items for you to look at and hopefully purchase from our many vendors.

Horseback use on many trails today is met with negative attitudes and more restrictions. We invite you to join the Back Country Horsemen organization, through a Chapter or as an Independent, to help protect our riding opportunities. Our Theme
Our theme for this years’ Clinic is Feeling Rusty? Come Polish Your Skills. We have some top notch Clinicians from around the country with valuable skills to help you become a better horseman and develop a more willing partnership with your animal. Improve your packing skills and knowledge or learn a new method with our instructors in this area. Some very informative sessions await you from our equine health cadre. Your equine friend will love your new knowledge! Follow your nose to the Dutch Oven cook off and sample goodies or learn about how to cook in our demonstrations. There are lots of opportunities to learn here.

Saturday Dinner & Tickets

  • The dinner is held in the Arena building.
  • Please buy your tickets early at the Clinic Office in the Event Center so we can get a good count for dinner.
  • Price is $15 for a scrumptious Tri-Tip or Chicken Dinner by Yummys Cowboy Cuisine.

 

Registration Prizes

  • Register each day at the main Event Center entrance to qualify for Registration prizes.
  • Register early for the Early Bird Registration Drawings. You must be present to win.
  • A $100 Early Bird Registration Prize will be given away at 8:30am Saturday and 8:45am Sunday.

Raffles & Auction

  • The raffles and auction help us finance this event and allow us to offer free admission.
  • You will receive a number at the registration table that must be written legibly on each raffle ticket.
  • You must register to participate in the raffles, registration drawings and to receive a pre-registration reminder postcard for next year’s clinic. We do not share our mailing list.
  • Listen for your assigned number during raffles. You do not need to be present to win.
  • The Saturday raffle, Auction and Silent Auction will be held during the Saturday night dinner.
  • Raffle tickets will be sold all day Saturday at the ticket tables and at the dinner.
  • Sunday’s raffle ticket sales will end at the time of the raffle on Sunday.
  • Special raffles include a Riding Saddle, Wall Tent and a Wall of Guns.
  • Ride and Pack Mules are scheduled for the auction this year.
