TRAIL CHALLENGE 2020 Hosted by: THE HIGH DESERT TRAIL RIDERS BACK COUNTRY HORSEMEN Saturday September 12th at 9:00 am
This is an open event, so bring your family and friends and join in the fun!
Event will be held at: Cross Creek Ranch 5137 Round Lake Road Klamath Falls, Or.
8 Classes include: IN HAND – AMATURE – NOVICE – MULES - OLDIES 55+, and OPEN CLASSES with age brackets of, (7 - 12) (13 – 17) and (18 - +++)
We will challenge you with a trail ride style course that includes both natural and man made obstacles. The intent is to challenge you and your horse without freaking anyone out. We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable day.
Riders 17 and under will be required to wear a helmet and if needed, young children can have a parent walk beside them as they go through the course.
Lunch will be available for a voluntary donation. Suggested $5. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, coffee, snacks and hopefully Indian fry bread.
Prizes will be awarded 1st through 3rd place in each class. The Gang has gone all out to have nice prizes.
Join us Friday evening, September 11th from 4-6 for practice and warm up. Dry camping is available - $15.00 a night with access to water in the area. Use electric fence set up or highline your horses. Please, NO CAMP FIRES!
Betty Applebaker will also teach a “how to highline your horse” Class Friday evening, if anyone needs instruction.
Have you always wanted a nice portrait of yourself with your horse? We will have our photo booth set up, which could be part of the judged trail course. (Can your horse stand still and smile?)
8X10 Photos will be available for purchase and be printed on site. Money raised helps support our trail repair projects, along with money that is also raised from the Trail Challenge and voluntary donation lunch and snack service.
